Belmayne duo brave the mud to raise charity funds
Two sporty financial planners from Dronfield-based Belmayne recently tackled a multi-terrain 10k trial race to raise funds for the firm’s charitable foundation. Belmayne Partners Jon Stevens and Martin Birch
completed the Sheffield Ten 10 Ten, held in Endcliffe Park on 6 October, on behalf of the firm’s four chosen charities. The pair added a further £300 to the Belmayne
Foundation’s fundraising total, by joining the thousands of competitors braving the inclement weather to complete the extremely muddy course. Regular runner, Martin, finished first in 56 minutes, while Jon crossed the line in one hour 16 minutes. Jon said: “It is three years since I last ran
regularly and it has been a real challenge to kickstart my fitness regime and build up my stamina for this race. Raising money for our four fantastic charities gave me the push I needed to keep going and I am very proud to have finished in a respectable time. In fact, I have already signed up for next year’s Dronfield 10k to keep the momentum going!” The Belmayne Foundation was established by the independent firm’s four partners to give back to the community in which they are based. So far, more than £10,000 has been raised for this year’s charities, which are Sheffield Riding for the Disabled, The Welcome Club in Dronfield, the Third Holmesfield Scout Group and Neurocare. The fundraising baton is now
being passed to fellow Partner, Ben Smalley, who will be undertaking a 100-mile bike ride on 7-8 December.

IT firm relocates to meet demand
A Yorkshire-based IT asset disposal (ITAD) company has invested over £250,000 in a new state-of-the-art facility as its business continues to prosper. S2S Group, which was established in 1989, specialises
in providing solutions for corporate data security for a range of clients from SMEs to large blue chip organisations such as banks and financial institutions where data protection is so important. The company chose its new 30,000sq ft site at
Manvers, Rotherham, to facilitate its business operations and provide a secure processing facility that would support all elements of its service portfolio to an ever-increasing range of customers. Director Grant Barton (pictured) said:
“S2S continues to be recognised as one of the leading companies in IT processing and we are attracting more and more blue chip clients who demand the highest standards of secure processing. We had to plan for future ongoing growth and our new facility gives us the capability to more than double our current processing volumes.” The investment of over £250,000
has enabled S2S to purpose model and streamline its processes and
warehouse capability to more efficiently handle increased volumes in all areas of its core business. This includes data erasure and destruction, IT and mobile devices recycling and disposal, ‘live’ asset tracking and repair and resale options. Added security is enjoyed with its own secure transportation system and a fully alarmed warehouse with 24-hour CCTV coverage. “This is the perfect location for us to continue our ambitious and achievable expansion plans and we are proud to join other prosperous businesses that operate from the Manvers Business Park,” added Grant.

several members of Switalskis’ South Yorkshire-based team for praise, including Alison Kitchman, who joined the firm’s Doncaster office in 2018 as a solicitor and collaborative family lawyer. The guide has described Alison as “sensible, warm, good and makes sure clients feel comfortable knowing they will be well looked after.”
‘The Legal 500 guide is very important to us’
Alison said: “I am delighted that Switalskis has been listed for the first time in South Yorkshire, following the opening of our Doncaster and Sheffield offices and I am keen to assist Switalskis climb the ranking to Tier 2. On a personal level, this is the fifth year running that I have been named as an individual in the Legal 500 and I am particularly proud that this year I have been recognised for my commitment to client care.” Switalskis Director and brain
injury and serious injury specialist, Mark Hollinghurst, has been described in the guide as “calm, courteous and doggedly determined”. Operating out of the firm’s Doncaster office, Mark focuses on complex, specialised personal injury cases and his personal injury team has received a Tier 2 ranking. John Durkan, Switalskis
Solicitors MD, said: “The Legal 500 guide is very important to us because it directly relates to the views and experiences of our clients and referrers. Their positive feedback reflects our commitment to providing high quality advice and representation.”
