Business owners from South Yorkshire at the official opening Evexia Wellness in Rotherham

Health centre tackles wellness in Rotherham

Evexia Wellness was formally opened on 27 September by Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber’s Women in Business Chair, Lyndsay Pitchley. The formal opening was attended by several business

owners from the South Yorkshire area and, on the following day, local residents joined in the celebrations with a visit to the centre for free taster sessions of the services on offer. Two years ago Tracy Cartland-Ward had a vision to

create a centre for natural and proactive health and wellness in the heart of Rotherham. Having purchased a closed and unused

building at 29 Mansfield Road in April 2018, Tracy set about gaining planning permission and subsequently commenced a full refurbishment of the property, turning it into what today is a haven of calm in the centre of town, fully modernised with five fresh treatment rooms plus a conference/training room to serve the Rotherham area and beyond. It has seven local therapists engaged

to provide a range of services including holistic therapy, hypnotherapy, mindset coaching, nutrition and weight management and natural skincare facials - in fact most of what is required to help you proactively manage your physical and mental wellbeing. Tracy Cartland-Ward said: “It’s been a long but

rewarding journey to take a run down building in the heart of Rotherham and create a calm oasis for the residents of both Rotherham and surrounding areas. “I am passionate about the benefits of natural health, especially the brain’s amazing ability to support the journey to wellness, and it is extremely exciting that Lyndsay has now officially opened our modern centre to promote holistic healing and proactive wellness.”

schools across Doncaster and South Yorkshire took part in a range of physical activities at the Doncaster Dome, designed to improve their communication, social and emotional skills, at the same time as having fun through sport. Active Fusion Director

Lindsy James, said: “Children always have a fantastic time at our multi-skills events, where they get to grips with different skills such as throwing, catching and jumping through various activities. “We were especially excited
