Stay social, stay

ap

Do you know anyone who could use a helping hand getting out and about?

It’s not always easy to remain an active part of the community, particularly for those with mobility, ill health or confidence issues that make travelling difficult.

But at Rotherham Social Days, they provide a supported local social excursion service to help the retired, elderly or disabled retain their independence and improve well-being.

Loneliness is a major problem in later life with many people going long periods with no social interaction. To combat this,

Rotherham Social Days offer a fully accessible service whereby they pick up clients from their homes to enjoy days out filled with fun, laughter and friendship.

They say variety is the spice of life and every day is different with Rotherham Social Days and their diverse activity plan.

Service users can get outdoors for a leisurely stroll around the many beauty spots and nature reserves in South Yorkshire; brush up on their historical or cultural knowledge at museums and art galleries; browse local markets and garden centres; or enjoy good food and great company at local pubs and tearooms. For when the weather isn’t fit enough to head out, that doesn’t
