Enjoy pumpkin carving, spooky house, garden tours and Halloween inspired light bites in a cafe marquee – perfect for all the family. Tom Hart Dyke will give garden tours at 1pm and dusk tour at 5pm, learn about the origins of pumpkins, colours and varieties and children can spot the Halloween tricks in eerie torchlight. The event runs from 12pm to 7pm. £2 donation for the pumpkin carving. Admission price is £10 for adults and children under 15 go free.

Enjoy an afternoon starting with a fascinating talk by Dr Chris Price, Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University, and also a member of the Cathedral Choir, on the music collections of the Cathedral Archives and Library. This will be followed by a viewing of items from the collections. The event includes a full afternoon tea in the Refectory Restaurant at the Cathedral Lodge. Tickets cost £23.95 per person. You can buy all your local fresh produce, locally-produced preserves, fruit juice, beer, bread, cakes and a lot more with plenty of free samples. There are a few local craft stalls and the emphasis of the Farmers’ Market is on quality local food. The event runs from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

The event includes crafts such as Murano glass jewellery, woodturning, artwork, ceramics and glass etching. Specialist products include Wright’s Original ginger wine, vodkas and gins from the distillery, English Spirit, and Lymm Bank Farm cheeses. Demonstrations and workshops of sugar craft and cake decorating from Annabelle Jane Cake School. Enjoy over 100 stands in warm surroundings. Refreshments are served all day. The event runs from 9am to 5pm Friday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
