A Lasting Peace for Medway
Royal Engineers’ Museum, Gillingham
This exhibition marks the culmination of a year-long programme of art workshops funded by the Big Lottery Fund. Hosted by local artist Tina Lawlor Mottram, each workshop has been inspired by creating a sense of peace and happiness with the community and personal life, through exploring art and the use of creative spaces. Included in standard admission prices.

Spooky Castle with Creepy Critters Dover Castle, Dover Feeling brave enough to take on Kent’s most haunted castle this half term? Descend into the darkness of the tunnel of terror, and say boo to a ghost or two on spooky tours of the castle keep. Have a go at creepy crafts, and make your very own menacing mask or witches’ cat to take home. Make sure you wear your best Hallowe’en getup, and see if you can win a prize for best costume. The event runs from 10am to 4pm. Adult tickets are £20.90 and child tickets are £12.50. Ticket price includes entry to the event and site. Tickets will be available to purchase at the event site on the day.

Festival Brogdale Farm, Faversham
Discover something new and tasty with ‘try before you buy’ rare and heritage apple varieties, fill a bag with your favourites to take home. Guided tours of the orchards, horticultural talks, apple pressing demonstrations and a programme of cooking demonstrations all weekend. Enjoy local food, browse the craft and produce on offer and meet the experts to have your apples identified plus lots of family fun. The event runs from 10am to 4pm. Adult tickets are £9 and child tickets are £5.

Te Forgetful Witch Penshurst Place, Tonbridge
Throughout half-term week, little visitors will be invited to help forgetful Willow the Witch find the many magical objects she has lost around Penshurst Place gardens, including her cat, broomstick, hat and cauldron. The event runs daily from 10.30am to 11.00am. The event is included with admission.

Ightham Mote, Sevenoaks
The woods around the house are home to tawny owls, little owls and barn owls. Visitors can often hear them at the end of the day. Throughout half term week children can find out more about owls and try to complete a fun trail in the gardens. On October 24, there will also be the chance to get up close with real owls from the Kent Owl Academy. Tickets cost £2.50 per trail. The event runs from 10am to 5pm. Collect your trail from Visitor Reception. Admission applies.

Get Spooked Dreamland, Margate
Celebrate nine days of frightfully good fun by the sea for families to enjoy. There will also be ghoulish party games, devilish disco dancing and a variety of spooky crafts and activities to take part in too. Dressing up is encouraged.
