Starlight Stroll Hospice in the Weald, Tunbridge Wells


Remember a loved one and celebrate their memory by walking a brand new six mile sponsored walk. You’ll start at the hospice and make your way toward the tranquil Dunorlan Park, illuminating the way with your very own lantern. The event runs from 6pm to 10pm. Autumn Craft Fair Kilndown Village Hall, Cranbrook


The event offers a good selection of handmade items, to suit all ages, with demonstrations from artists and crafters. Stalls include jewellery, patchwork, knitting, artwork, cards and more. All proceeds to Quarry Centre, a registered charity raising funds for a volunteer led community centre. Doors open 11am to 3pm.

5K Colour Run The Oval, Cliftonville


This family friendly 5k event is an explosion of colourful fun. Take in amazing coastal views as you run and walk through clouds of brightly coloured powder paint around the route. Gather friends and family to join the energetic atmosphere of over 1,000 people running, jogging and walking along Thanet’s spectacular seafront. On the day entry is £20 for adults and £15 for under 11s. Registration will be open from 9am to 11am. Entry includes white t-shirt, paint sachet, funky sunglasses and finisher’s medal. October 21 - 27 Halloween Monster


Academy Leeds Castle, Maidstone


Are you a little monster? If so you’ll fit in at a brand new Monster Academy this Halloween. Explore the castle grounds and complete spooky classes as you go, winning stamps from each teacher to graduate from the academy. Activities will include learning to move like a monster, perfect your scare technique and complete an obstacle class. There will also be a spooky trail through the grounds as well as daily ghoulish games and a frightful fancy dress competition. The event is included in the admission price to Leeds Castle. The event runs during the Castle opening hours.

Fright Night Express Tenterden Town Station, Tenterden


Visit the railway from 5pm for a Fright Night workshop including pumpkin carving (which you can take home) and face painting. Families are encouraged to come in fancy dress, the scarier the better. A live fire breather will add to the atmosphere before everyone boards the Fright Night Express in time for a 7pm departure. Tickets are £18.

Orchard Craft Day Brogdale Farm, Faversham


Explore the autumn colours with some fall craft. Create stencils based on the autumn leaves in the orchards. Use fabric or felt to applique autumnal designs, embroider patterns and add colourful buttons to your own fabric lunch bag or wall hanging. The event runs from 10:30am to 2.30pm. Tickets cost £9.50 for both adult and child. Tickets must be pre-purchased as no tickets or spaces will be available on the day of the event.


October 22- 25 Half Term Make It Workshops


Maidstone Museum, Maidstone


Enjoy a whole week of sports- themed craft activities with four sessions running a day. Sessions include making your own giant foam sports hand, designing your own sports-related baseball cap and creating your own winners’ trophy. Tickets start from £2.50 from 10.30am to 4pm. Ideal for ages 4 to 11 years.

Fright at the Museum The Beaney, Canterbury


The event will see the entire Beaney site transformed into a haunted house between 10am to 5pm. Visitors can enjoy pumpkin carving, potion making, and Halloween themed refreshments and explore the spooky exhibits. Fancy dress is encouraged with prizes for the spookiest outfits. Entry is free with additional payable activities available. A £5 family Halloween trail will also be available, based around the ghost story of a Canterbury witch called Mother Crawe.


October 26 White Cliffs

Join a knowledgeable guide on a gentle walk to South Foreland Lighthouse. Enjoy the fantastic views across the Channel whilst learning about the varied history of this beautiful place during a two mile walk lasting around one to one and a half hours. The event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue. Meet outside the shop at the White Cliffs Visitor Centre in time for an 11am start. Booking is not needed.

performances, workshops, activities, film screenings and arts and crafts throughout the day which celebrate diversity and different cultures, with a particular focus on arts by, about and with refugee and migrant communities. Activities include: drumming workshops, short films, magic wand making, Syrian music workshops, storytelling, an interactive online documentary and film screenings. The event starts from 10am. Aimed at ages four to 11, but all the family are welcome.
