Taber International Food Guide While Taber is smack dab in agriculture country and is


known for its corn, it still offers a great variety of cuisines. Whether you want to sample Japanese offerings,


Mexican cuisine or take your tastebuds to the Mediterranean,Taber has you covered. There are several different food choices you can make when in the town of Taber but here we’ll focus on five restaurants of cuisines that can be found in different parts of the world. Ricardo’s - “A little taste of Italy and Mexico” Price range: $$-$$$


Opened in 1999 by Bruce and Martha David, Ricardo’s


focuses on a blend of Mexican and Italian eats right in the heart of Taber, offering both takeout and seating. Ricardo’s has been located at 5326 49th Avenue since 2004 and is open from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m.to 2:30 p.m. and 5-8:30 p.m.and closed on weekends and holidays.


Rotating between seasonal menus, Ricardo’s boasts a


Mexican, fresh pasta menu, salads, sandwiches and supper menus which provides plenty of options for customers. Focusing on the two sides of the restaurant, the


Mexican menu features offerings of tostadas, fried/grilled quesadilla’s,Aztec pie, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and chips and salsa while pasta offered includes fettuc- cine,whole wheat penne, tortellini with a large variety of sauces such as alfredo,pesto, pasine and a whole lot more. Wok ‘n Roll in January 2011 after running Chinese food restaurants for over 35 years prior and they haven’t slowed down. Located at 4720 51Street and open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m (closed Tuesday) and Sundays and hol-


idays - 4-8 p.m.,Wok N’Roll features a large menu packed with a variety for anyone craving Chinese stylings. Including dinner for one, two, three, four, five or six peo-


ple, the menu has 76 different items. The menu consists of appetizers, soup, chicken, beef,

rant, the Cheung family expanded to another location in Taber in 2012 under the name O-Sho Japanese Cuisine, which is located at 5114 46 Avenue. Since then, the restaurant has become a local staple for those in the mood for sushi, teriyaki and other Japanese flavoured dishes. With a menu consisting of appetizers, teriyaki and


katsu, tempura, donburi, noodles, sushi/ norimaki sushi, hand rolls, sashimi, dinner specials and desserts, there are plenty of options when heading to O-Sho. The Taber-based O-Sho is closed on Mondays,open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.on Friday, 4-9 p.m on Saturday,and 4-8 p.m.on Sunday. Since Com and Eat’s opening in 2018, reviews have con-


tinued to be strong for the new Taber based Vietnamese restaurant. Starting as a food truck, Chris and Doreen Nguyen opened the permanent Com and Eat location at 5215 47 Avenue after a previous Vietnamese restaurant shut its doors and from there, the restaurant has seen a major facelift.


Boasting an impressive 43 different dishes including


appetizers, soup and curry bowls, rice vermicelli bowls, rice plates and vegetarian options,Com and Eat aims to provide an authentic Vietnamese cuisine experience with a modern flair. Com and Eat is closed on Monday and Sunday, open
