University forms partnership with CPI
The University of Nottingham has moved a step closer to its goal of commercialising research into developing sustainable chemicals with the announcement of a new partnership with CPI, a founding member of the UK Government’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult. The Green Chemicals Beacon of
Excellence at the university has signed a memorandum of understanding with CPI, one of only six universities to sign such an agreement in the UK. Professor Alex Conradie, Director
of the Green Chemicals Beacon and Chair in Sustainable Processing at the University of Nottingham, said: “This partnership will strengthen the ability of the university and CPI to blur the boundaries between academic research and impactful industrialisation through joint funding applications, human resource exchange and other synergetic projects.”

New contracts for telecoms firm
Telecommunications specialist Invictus Communications has won contracts with five local businesses. Castle Donington-based Invictus Communications
has been appointed by HUUB, Salloway, PMW Property, Morecrofts and Century Mobile to install new telephony systems. Invictus Communications provides a range of
telecommunications services that are tailored to individual business customers’ need to increase productivity, security and flexibility as well as reducing costs. They benefit from free calls to local,
national and mobile numbers with the flexibility to call and receive calls to the same number remotely via the dedicated Gamma Horizon app. Invictus Communications’ Jonny
