GOOD NEWS

In times like these it can be hard to find good news. However in this case, there is a silver lining. I was amazed by how quickly organizations came together to provide immediate aid to families who lost homes, livestock and stored grains. This included INEDA members stepping forward to do their part. In addition to substantial contributions to the EDA Disaster Relief Fund (which INEDA is matching), the Nebraska Farm Bureau’s Disaster Relief Fund also received major contributions from INEDA dealer-members. Several dealers also provided assistance gathering and distributing hay, fencing supplies and other materials to help farm and ranch families stabilize their situations. Gold stars to everyone who’s helped victims of this disaster with your time, talent and treasure.

I’ve always said it’s the people who make our Association such a wonderful place to work and times like this truly demonstrate the character of our members. No one expects recognition for helping; everyone just puts their head down and does what needs to be done.
