FLOODING AFFECTS IOWA & NEBRASKA EQUIPMENT DEALERS


The devastating impact of flooding across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa will continue to affect equipment dealerships in low lying areas for many months to come. We spoke with dealers who frantically transported equipment to higher ground, moved parts inventory up to higher shelves and removed computers and electronic equipment from their dealerships; most with just one or two days to prepare. Many said the damage to their dealer- ships, farmsteads, communities and infrastructure is the worst they have ever seen – even more devastating than the floods of 1952, 1993 and 2011.
