Chaucer House is a purpose built care home with 60 en-suite bedrooms designed to the highest specification. All bedrooms have flat screen televisions, complimentary Wi-Fi, thermostatically controlled central heating, sophisticated wireless nurse call system, telephone point and mini fridge. Set just a 10 minute walk from the


beautiful and diverse city of Canterbury. Our aim is to provide outstanding nursing, residential, palliative, dementia, respite and day care to each individual in a calm and relaxing environment. Chaucer House provides excellent


communal facilities including a selection of lounges which hosts many of the activities, and dining rooms. All three floors can be accessed by either passenger lifts or staircases which residents and relatives are supported to access at their convenience.


Other facilities Chaucer House can offer include: quiet room/library, garden room. hair and beauty room, cinema room and roof top terrace with a bar, with magnificent views of Canterbury.

Living in a care home doesn’t mean that you loose touch with the people who matter to you. Our staff are available to help you to stay connected with anyone that you choose. Being a part of the community is important therefore, where residents choose to, they will be assisted to maintain their independence with links in the community and encouraged to welcome visitors to their new home.
