87th Prince of Wales’s Own Irish Fusiliers Officer’s Shako Plate 1844 -1855, a rare and fine quality example being a large gilt fused grenade, the ball mounted with a large depiction of the captured French eagle of the 8me regiment of the ligne, four copper loop fasteners, some gilt loss to one of the flame tips and on the ball of the grenade, otherwise very good condition

Officer of the Rank of General Shoulder Belt Plate, a most fine and rare example, HM London 1805, no maker’s mark, of domed oval outline the silver gilt face with a beaded silver rim and silver mount being the Royal Arms of Great Britain 1801-1814, a scroll ‘Peninsula’ presumably added in late 1815, one hook and two stud fasteners, the Unicorn’s horn missing otherwise in excellent condition
£1,000-£1,500 NOTE. The opulence of this plate could possibly suggest a Royal connection.

1st Aberdeen Rifle Volunteers Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate 1889, a fine quality example in silver plate with a HM cast silver mount. The mount is hall marked Birmingham 1889 by ‘TBW’, crowned thistle sprays enclose the unit title with St. Andrew and his cross in the voided centre, two hook and two stud fasteners, original leather liner, very fine condition
