23rd (Royal Welch Fusiliers) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c1840-1855, an extremely fine example, the rectangular gilt back plate with a burnished edge and stippled ground, thereon a fused grenade in burnished gilt the ball bearing a crowned circle, ‘Royal Welch Fusiliers’ enclosing the Prince of Wales’s Badge and Motto over ‘XXIII’. Standard hook and stud fasteners complete with original leather liner, slight buckling to the top corners and minute damage to the bottom right hand corner of the back plate otherwise very fine condition £600-£800

29th (Worcestershire) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c1832 -1855, an extremely fine example, the burnished gilt rectangular back plate with a single gilt mount, this being the crowned Garter Proper on a ground of vitreous blue enamel, in the centre on a ground of red velvet the crowned Lion of England on a torse, statant guardant (Parkyn 246). Silver mounts comprise a crowned strap, ‘1st Yorkshire West Riding Regiment’, the strap depends into two scrolls, ‘Seringapatam’ and ‘Waterloo’. In the centre of the strap laurel sprays enclose ‘33’, standard hook and stud fasteners, very fine condition
