Meet the Vets DIRECTORS
Naomi de Pennington MA Vet MB CertEM(IntMed) MRCVS Naomi is an RCVS Recognised Advanced Prac琀琀oner in Equine Internal Medicine. She leads the stud team and AI service, with par琀cular interests in stud and foal medicine, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and cardiology. She rou琀nely performs gastros- copies and is an experienced colic surgeon.
ASSISTANTS
Line Kjær DVM MRCVS A昀er gradua琀ng from the University of Copenhagen, Line completed her internship in South Africa, joining a large hospital with mainly thoroughbred stud farms as clientele. She has also worked in Japan and Scotland and has interests in foal diseases and internal medicine.
Emily Douglas-Osborn BVSc MRCVS Emily completed her internship at Avonvale before gaining experience in all aspects of ar琀昀cial insemina琀on at Twemlows, as well as working in ambulatory prac琀ce. Emily also has a keen interest in lameness and poor performance.
Alex Kingdon BVM BVS MRCVS Alex joined and completed her internship with us a昀er gradua琀ng from the University of Nongham. She has a keen interest in ambulatory prac琀ce and den琀stry.

Laura Hart BVM&S Cert AVP MRCVS Before joining Avonvale, Laura served in the Bri琀sh Army with tours of Iraq and Afghanistan and in London (Household Caval- ry Mounted Regiment). Laura holds a cer琀昀cate in Advanced Veterinary Prac琀ce and has a par琀cular passion for equine den琀stry.
Mercedes Montejo MRCVS With interests in foal and stud medicine, Mercedes graduated from University of Zaragoza, Spain in 2009, completed her internship in Seville and two foaling seasons in Ireland and Scotland before joining Avonvale.
Ka琀e Carnall BVM BVS MRCVS Ka琀e graduated from Nongham University in July 2018 and is currently comple琀ng her internship with us. She is keen to develop her par琀cular interests in poor performance inves琀- ga琀ons and diagnos琀cs.
Claire Sawyer BVetMed CertAVP (ESO) MRCVS Claire is an RCVS Recognised Advanced Prac琀琀oner in Equine Orthopaedic Surgery, leading the orthopaedic and diagnos琀c imaging teams and has a keen interest in lameness and poor performance inves琀ga琀on. She is an experienced equine vet who performs a large number of pre-purchase examina琀ons (vengs).
