( HUNTING REPORT ) The Farmers Bloodhounds

Meet at Plum Park on 27th January 2019 Report by Hon Sec. Ginny Oakley Pope

Photos by Simple Photo Shots Paul Buddin Photography

The bloodhounds had a lazy lie in when a meet was held at Plum Park Farm; the home of The Farmers Bloodhounds on January 27th.

Brian Temple, Senior Master and Huntsman gathered his hounds to greet the strong field in attendance. Assisted by fellow Masters, Jamie Temple, Ian Wills and Heather Moodie with Dave Pratley whipping in, it was not long before the bloodhounds were hot on the trail of the scent left by runner Jeremy Scarf.

The followers were in for a treat with the availability of some of the new Team Chase fences on the first and last lines.

This exciting new event for Plum Park Farm takes place on March 24th and will become a regular feature in the Team Chase calendar.

Everyone enjoyed a variety of obstacles and wonderful countryside. The FBH are indebted to the landowners that invited them to cross their land. On return Debbie Temple provided a delicious hot tea continuing the warmth and hospitality that The Farmers Bloodhounds are renowned for. The function room at Plum Park provides an excellent venue for this. There was much laughter and there was no doubt that as the day’s events were repeated some of the fences became larger as the stories progressed! Plum Park Farm is a wealth of activity at all times. Joint Master, Jamie Temple, runs a busy riding school with his wife Chloe. Debbie and Brian Temple oversee all the agricultural duties, bloodhounds and hunters alongside Towcester Equine Vets who are based at the farm. There is never a dull moment!
