British Showjumping Club Membership


British Showjumping’s Club membership gives competitors jumping between 70cm – 1.00m the chance to compete for minimal cost. It also provides plenty of perks and benefits whilst being good on your pocket.


Club offers fantastic opportunities to any horse, pony and rider combination who have no regis- tered results at National Amateur 85cm, British Novice, Stepping Stones, Pony British Novice or above over the past three years. So even though your horse or pony may have some winnings on his/her record, if you are a new rider it doesn’t stop you joining as a club member.


compete in the Championship class which will have a first round height of 85cm rising to 90cm in the jump off. The Championship carries a prize fund of £700 with the top three also receiving a complimentary Club Membership for one year.


With the horse/rider combination being the key factor you can see how Club membership offers an exciting opportunity. There are extensive training programmes available to British Showjumping members including the NAF 5* Performance Awards Programmes where you have a Handbook that you work through with your coach. There are also Academies which offer coaching days, camps and social activities.

Senior National Club 70cm Champions Cat Meyes & Geronimo II


The Club leagues run from the 1st July to the 30th June each year and you compete for league points rather than prize money. The leagues are split into eight regional leagues - representing Scotland, Northern, West Midlands, Wales, East Midlands, East, South East and the South West so you have the opportunity to not only focus on heading your regional league, but you can also qualify for the Club Championships which will be held dur- ing the British Showjumping National Championships at the National Agri- cultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire (6th – 11th August 2019). This makes Club Membership a brilliant starting point for anyone making the step into affiliated competition.


British Showjumping, in conjunction with Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), also introduced a Championship class for retrained racehorses competing at Club level. This series is open to any former racehorse, registered with RoR, including unraced, GB raced and foreign raced horses. The RoR Club League, which culminates on the 30th June, which will be used to identify the top thirty horse/rider combinations whom will receive an invitation to


insurance is included within all membership fees and that all events will be profes- sionally run within a safe and structured environment.
