Sport


Sports scholars will represent the school and be ambassadors of the school’s sporting values in their chosen field. There is no restriction upon the type of sport and we welcome applications from students involved in traditional sport, swimming, triathlon, climbing, equestrian as well as other sports.


Sports scholars will be automatically placed onto our PE Gifted and Talented programme where they receive additional support, guidance and specialist workshops throughout the year to help prepare them for competition. They will be expected to undertake a leadership role within their chosen sport to inspire others and to mentor fellow students.


Assessment Criteria


• Two references from either teacher/sports coaches or other professional.


• A portfolio of evidence of sporting achievements (this could include video evidence).


• A fitness/sports assessment with PE staff • Interview
