All scholarship applicants will be expected to provide a short personal statement (approximately 300 words) about their work and interests in relation to the category of scholarship to which they have applied. Additonal assessment criteria for each scholarship category is outlined in the following pages.


Academic Scholarships


Academic scholars at Sibford School will demonstrate exceptional academic ability and potential. They are expected to be a positive role model for fellow students and maintain excellent standards of academic progress and conduct at all times. They will be academically stretched by their teachers and will benefit from attendance at presentations with guest speakers and other organised events. They will contribute positively and significantly to the academic life of the school.


Assessment Criteria


• Two written papers (English & Maths).


• Portfolio of work from other subjects/activities.


• Recent reports and reference from current school.


• Interview with the Head or senior member of staff.
