Drama

Drama scholars will take a leading role in the life of the Drama Department.

They will be ambassadors for the theatrical life of the school. It is quite possible that their expertise will lie in directing, stage production or similar as well as those appearing on stage. They will take a lead role in House drama competitions as well as school productions.

Although they will not necessarily take Drama as an examination subject, we would expect scholars to strongly consider GCSE Drama as an option as well as playing a full part in the life of the Drama Department across the school.

They will have the opportunity to learn from our professional staff and take part in extra-curricular visits as they develop their skills.

Assessment Criteria

• Two references from either teacher/drama/LAMDA coach or other professional.

• A performed piece or equivalent. • Interview with Head of Drama.
