We are proud to be the only A4 free glossy magazine covering both Rotherham and Barnsley. It’s our pleasure to share with you everything good about South Yorkshire and the lovely comments we receive


make our job so rewarding. Before we race headlong into 2019, let’s spend some time looking back at the highlights of last year. As always, there were some very memorable moments.


March & April


King George V Visits Rylands


We shared the wonderful news that as part of the Parks for People project, Barnsley’s Cannon Hall Museum had secured a grant of almost £3million to revitalise and rejuvenate its historic 76 acres of parklands. This great achievement was further boosted


by another £40,000 raised by the Friends of Cannon Hall.


The three-year project started


in February 2018 and will result in improvements to the lakes, parklands, buildings and walled gardens. There will also be a wide range of new activities on offer for all the family.

January & February


We took a trip back to rediscover our manufacturing roots, when Barnsley and Rotherham were known for their booming industries. This area may no longer be the prodigious producer that it once was but there was a time when the pits were thriving, the iron was hot and glassblowing was ever expanding.
