The man who successfully invest his and his clients money in the health and beauty business

national health and beauty business, which is listed on Nasdaq in Stockholm. In 2006 he moved on to establish Ripamonti Finanz AG, a Swiss investment company. Here he reveals the secrets that any investor should know about investing in the health and beauty business.

Why did you start your own investment business?

”I earned my wealth through hard work. I do no want to lose my money in risky projects. I look for investments that gives higher than average return. I met with numerous wealth managers and bankers but I felt all the investment models and risk calculations I was presented for were to the- oretical and not really in line with my own business experiences and understanding. I decided to go my own way. I spend years studying which invest-

ments that gives the best long term returns and I reached the conclusion that investing in equities in companies with leading or up-coming ”world-class” health and beauty brands is the right investment for me. The same industry where I made my first fortune. I was very enthusiastic and went on to established Ripamonti Finanz. The idea was based on the belief, that there is a need, for an investment company, where decisions are taken by people who know the daily challenges of the companies they invest in. Today Ripamonti Finanz AG help clients make money from the attractive health and beauty business.

The most profitable invest- ment over time

Going back nearly two hundred years,

if you had invested $10,000, reinvested any dividends, interest, or other gains, and left the money alone, you would have turned your $10,000 into $5.6 billion investing

tarting from scratch 28 years ago, Karl Kristian Jensen build New Nordic Healthbrands AB, an inter-

in stocks. The bond investor would have turned his $10,000 into $8 million, and the gold investor would have turned his $10,000 into $26,000. For nearly two centuries, stocks have generated an average return of 7% in real, inflation-adjusted dollars. That is close to a doubling of your invested fortune in every 10 years.

But which equities has per- formed best?

Analysis of the performance and

volatility of US stock sectors from 1976 to 2015 reveals that consumer staples offer substantially higher risk-adjusted returns than all other US equity sectors. A logical explanation to this is that consumer staples businesses are based on strong brands that consumers like, trust and support. Companies with successful international

brands typically serve personal and basic needs that are deeply rooted in the emoti- onal minds of the consumers and that they have high pricing and distribution power relative to their competitors. In addition the consumers require the products and services in both good and bad times. As a result they can be very profitable and pay high dividends to it’s shareholders.

The secret about brands that any investor should know

A brand that consumers like, trust and support is the best and most durable asset a company can have. Many brands are heri- tage brands that goes way back in time and if managed well these robust brand values can be durable for generations. These brands will be durable beyond

any cyclical technical or manufacturing ad- vantage, beyond any patent or design that is due to run out and beyond any brilliant manager that is momentarily lifting his company to extraordinary performances. Brands are not created quickly by fancy

advertising slogans. Brands are build over years by offering meaningful substance to

Past performance may not be indicative of future results! Therefore, you should not assume that the future perfromance of any investment or investment strategy will be profitable or equal to corresponding past performance levels. Each investment deci- sion you make should be determined with reference to the specific information available for such investment, and not based upon the success of past recommendations. The ideas and strategies should never be used without first assessing your own personal and financial situation, or without consulting a financial professional.

the consumers. A product is something that is made in a factory; a brand is something that is bought by a consumer. A competitor can copy a producer’s product; a brand is unique. A product can be quickly outdated; a successful brand is timeless.

World-class health and beauty brands

In the consumer health and beauty in-

dustries you find the most outstanding and trusted world-class brands. Brand busines- ses where the perceived brand value is so high that companies can work with 70-80 percent gross margin. These brands are unique and can provide shareholders with extraordinary high profit margins.
