2018 TALHFA Member of the Year Award Goes to …..


Tim Nelson, Director, Hilltop Securities


Tim represents many of our TALHFA issuers as Financial Advisor. He brings many years of experience and an extreme wealth of knowledge to his issuer clients. Tim works tirelessly on behalf of his clients to ensure that housing finance corporations are in- volved in financially sound transactions while also helping to grow the HFC's capacity to undertake partnerships and other new ventures. Tim understands and appreciates the role that HFCs can play in not only affordable housing, but local economic development as a whole and is a staunch supporter of HFCs being valued appropriately for what they can bring to the table.


Tim was elected to the TALHFA Board of Directors in 2018. He is active on the TALHFA Legislative Committee and has been instrumental in assisting with and addressing annual volume cap questions at the legislative level. Not only is Tim one of the smartest folks in our industry, he's also one of the funniest. To know Tim is to know his "Timisms" - quips and words of wisdom that will leave you laughing for days.
