Grow through the colours of nature with Antron®

Carpet Fibre

Grow is one of the defining themes shaping colour in commercial interiors. The Global Colour Trend Forecast looks at how colour will impact commercial spaces in the forthcoming years. Presenting Grow alongside three other key themes of Play, Primal and Reflect; the forecast is now in its fifth edition. Focusing on green, Grow addresses our need to feel closer to nature, tacking the nature-deficit caused by increased urban living. It smartly mimics botanicals and earth in rich, nature inspired colours, patterns and textures. The Grow palette is found within INVISTAAntron®

Lumena™ carpet fibre, now featuring 19 new colours driven by the results

of the forecast. With more than 300 different stain-resistant and fade-resistant colour options, Antron®

Decor Systems, a national supplier of blinds and curtains for office, residential and mixed-use developments, has introduced a new pricing system which aims to dramatically simplify and speed up the costing process for architects. Decor Systems have been able to develop a simple m2

pricing guide (called UP) which allows any architect to calculate the price for window coverings without needing to go through the process of requesting and waiting for a quotation, which dramatically speeds up the design cycle, especially when different solutions are being considered or where the design is subject to change.

As part of the ongoing support to the Grenfell community, Abet Laminati and Formwise are proud to have helped realise the ambitious DIY SOS Grenfell project to build the replacement Dale Youth Boxing Club and new Community Centre. Abet donated 12mm compact grade high pressure laminate in a grey Zebrano finish for the washrooms and cubicles, as well as a graphite grey for the lockers. These were supplied to Formwise Washrooms, a manufacturer, supplier and installer of quality cubicles, panels, lockers, changing room furniture and panelling. Formwise managed to design, fabricate and install two complete changing rooms including toilets and shower cubicles in the boxing club as well as washroom facilities in the community centre. Compact grade laminate is perfect for this kind of heavy-duty application where aesthetics and visual appeal need to be coupled with high performance and long-life cycles. Suitable for both wet and dry areas, they are known as hardwearing, durable and very attractive solutions for cubicle, partition and locker applications with excellent resistance to impact, scratches and abrasion.

Luxury vinyl tiles from Polyflor’s Expona Bevel Line Collection were used as part of a brand new departures area which was recently unveiled at Cardiff Airport, which features Expona Bevel Line in the Portland Stone and Light Oak designs. The light, clean, contemporary design of

the Portland Stone tiles complements the classic Light Oak planks, defining seating areas and walkways, and creating a calming, stylish environment perfectly suited for the soon to be bustling departure area. Versatile, both designs work well alongside the lounge’s slate grey colour, a decision inspired by the famous Welsh slate heritage.
