Recruitment On the Road VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Maidstone Churches Winter Shelter provides hot food, a warm bed and support for up to 15 people living on the streets of Maidstone for 13 weeks during the coldest months. This year the shelter will run from Friday 21st December 2018 until Saturday 23rd March 2019. However, without volunteers we won’t be able to open the Shelter, so please help us to provide a warm welcome overnight for homeless people in the coldest months.Securing overnight volunteers is our biggest challenge. Without them we are unable to open the Shelter. Volunteering for just 1 or 2 overnight sessions during the 13 weeks will make a great difference to many homeless people in Maidstone. Other roles include setting up, preparing meals, welcoming and engaging with guests in the evening and at breakfast.

To volunteer or find out more information about the shelter please visit: www.maidstoneshelter.org.uk. Alternatively you can telephone our office on 01622 296450 or email us at: mcwsoffice@maidstoneshelter.org.uk

The volunteer application window will close on the 23rd November 2018, to allow time for rotas to be developed and communicated, so please apply as soon as possible if you are willing to help with this important work.
