Cows had also got on to the land behind Clubbs and into the bo�omof the orchard on the edge of the river.Work needed to be undertaken to stop themescaping. Lees accident Acar had gone through the fence of the Pony Field. The driver’s details were obtained and the insurance company had already paid out. Lorries Various complaints had been received but therewas li�le that could be done. The closure ofHuntonHill and SmithsHillmeant lorries delivering to Vicarage Road had to take any available route.Acomplaint had beenmade to the contractor at Bentle�s, Claygate Road as lorrieswere not sticking to the transport plan andwere driving along Forge Lane and Benover Road and through the village. Giveway signHighways had received a request for a giveway sign at the sounth end of Town Bridge.Members felt itwould not be a benefit and could increase congestion. Itwould alsomean further signs on the bridge.However itwas felt that something should be done and Jenny Watsonwas considering the alternatives and compiling a report. Speed limit Itwas considered that a speed limit reduction along the Benover Road fromYalding to Collier Streetwould not be possible, but itwould be added to the Highway Improvement Plan. Cricket Club The club had asked for an extra section of the Kintons to bemade into a playing surface outside the normal boundary for pre-matchwarm-ups and practice. Thiswas agreed. Allotment fencing The allotment association had asked for help tomake the site secure. They need permission fromthe diocese to do this. In the first instance they shouldwrite to the diocese to provide fencing. The clerkwould offer advice.

Rover Defender froma driveway damaging the steering lock in Pembroke Road, Coxheath. A couple of lawnmowers and a

vandalismin Station Road, Staplehurst. Amotorcycle has been stolen froma
