Introducing the 2018/19 Sixth Form Leadership Team

fter finishing my IGCSEs, I was excited to find a school which would support my transition

from being home educated into learning in a real school environment. I was delighted to find Sibford as it is a school

that has developed my learning, increased my self-confidence and enabled me to thoroughly enjoy the boarding environment. Sibford School has proven to be an excellent choice for me through the development of learning skills to manage my dyslexia. The friendly and supportive house parents are happy to help with any aspect of Sixth Form and the superb teachers encourage and inspire me with my subjects.

The opportunities provided at the school are

incredible. Involvement with ‘Young Enterprise’ helped me to develop my communication skills and ensured I was very organised and confident when helping to organise the Valentine’s Ball. There are also multiple charity events that I have been involved with and I particularly enjoy running the ‘Amnesty International’ events where I am able to create newsletters and run meetings with other students. My time at Sibford has been one of great

excitement, and has been an excellent step towards fulfilling my dream of going to university to study Politics and International Relations so that I can commence a career in diplomacy. Alastair (Management Team Member)

ibford School has provided me with an environment in which

to grow and learn whilst also offering wide opportunities for discovering myself outside of an academic sphere. Having been a pupil here since 2012, I have recognised the importance of being in such a calm and supportive place, especially through the exam season. Before moving into Year 12, I explored some other Sixth

Iain and Rowena

Forms to see how they compared to Sibford. However, I quickly discovered that the Sixth Form here tailors to the needs of each individual – something I will need during my final year in my study of Economics, English Literature and Geography. I am currently exploring my options for next

year and the guidance I’m receiving is giving me a great head-start for my future plans. Rowena (Management Team Member)

aving been at Sibford since Year 7, I can confidently say that I have never

experienced such a supportive school, both academically and socially. I am very grateful to all the staff for their

continued academic support throughout my time at this school. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year

in Sixth Form, especially the friendly atmosphere that the staff encourage. Thanks to Sibford I have improved my

grades, and am aiming to go to a good university to study ‘Electrical Engineering.’ Iain (Management Team Member)
