Selwyn Widger
Starting in September, Selwyn Widger is the new School Games Organiser for West Wilts based at Kingdown School in Warminster. As an experienced secondary PE teacher, he is very passionate about the school games.
Having attended the last two Summer Games at Marlborough College he is looking forward to sitting on the other side of the fence this year for both the winter and summer games. Building relationships is very important to this role and Selwyn would like to meet with anyone who is keen to get involved

Bitham Brook Primary School About the Dance Festival
The Dance Festival is an opportunity for schools to perform to a larger audience within prestigious settings of the Bath Forum. The schools perform a 4 min dance routine to an audience of over 400 parents and family and over 200 pupils from the other schools, as it is a festival there are no winners.
It is a simple but effective format and an opportunity for any child to participate in dance. Some schools enter specific dance clubs whilst others enter whole classes. Because of the medium of dance and the
status of competition not being there the children feel at ease performing and therefore thoroughly enjoy the complete experience.
We are very excited to confirm that the West Wilts Dance Festival is back for the 7th year running at the Forum Bath. We hope the event will be bigger and better and we even have St Breock Primary School coming all the way from Cornwall this year to perform.
The event will take place on the Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th February 2015.
St Augustine’s School
Primary and Secondary schools are invited to put forward a piece for the event.
The theme for 2015 is ‘Children’s Books’ and performances should be no longer than 4 minutes.
If you have never taken part in the festival please don’t be put off. Caroline Newman ‘The Dance Lady’ and partnership dance coach can provide support and can be contacted on
caroline@thedancelady.com. She has involved in the event since 2004 and will be happy to advice and support any school wishing to take part.
We will need to have your intention to take part confirmed by Wednesday 1st December this can be done by emailing your booking form to Selwyn Widger on
wg@kingdown.wilts.sch.uk or for more information call Selwyn on Mobile: 07968 412178 / Office: 01985 224219.

be invited to perform in the prestigious Opening Ceremony of the Wiltshire School Games at Marlborough College on Wednesday 8th July 2015.
This provides an excellent way to evidence your participation in Cultural Activities for the School Games Mark. Dance in Schools has been given more emphasis in the new PE Curriculm and this again can offer a focus of any Dance classes.
