School Games Cultural Competition Winners


Every year, running alongside the sports events. Schools can take part in the School Games cultural competition that broadens access to the programme. This year schools could take part in a young photographer competition with entries based on images of sport reflecting the School Games values: Honesty, Respect, Determination, Passion, Self- Belief and Teamwork


The winners of this year’s event were invited to join the media team at Marlborough and were tasked with capturing the excitement of the day.


Charlie Ballamy, Horningsham Primary School commented ‘I felt honoured to be a part of the Media Team at the School Games. I enjoyed positioning people for the photos and having the responsibility to capture moments to remember beyond the memories of the day. I also love my Media Team t-shirt and often wear it at home. Thanks to WASP for giving me this opportunity and for using one of my pictures on the front cover of the Relay Magazine.’
