Ramsbury Primary School were winners of the Primary Competition and Bishops Wordsworth’s School were winners of the Secondary School Competition. Well done to all the young athletes who represented these schools and everyone who took part in the Wiltshire and Swindon School Games Level 3 Competition.
Joanna Price, Head Teacher from Ramsbury School commented “We were extremely proud to win the 2017 Primary Competition. To once again be the top performing school in Wiltshire for sport is an important accolade for us. Our pupils performed fantastically well during the year, winning all bar 2 of the local school cluster competitions. We had over a third of our pupils competing across all the sports at the summer’s School Games. Our sporting success has impacted on our pupils by enhancing their team building and leadership skills, as well as supplementing their personal development. We actively promote healthy lifestyles and offer a wide range of free after school sports clubs. Our pupils are extremely proud of their achievements and have enjoyed celebrating their success.”
