Healthy Me
commencing 8 January 2018. This is a great opportunity to put those new year resolutions into practice and help your family get off to a healthy start in 2018!
Healthy Me has proved its effectiveness in its first full year with 75% of 86 children who completed the course reducing their BMI and 85% of parents also reducing their BMI with one mum losing 5kg over the 10 week programme.
Wiltshire Council’s healthy lifestyle programme for children and their families will kick off again in the new year with courses starting week
The sessions cover topics such as the importance of a balanced diet, the importance of being active, sugar and fats, label reading and portion control plus many more. The course
aims to build self-confidence and self- esteem with certain sessions targeting psychological wellbeing.
As well as encouraging positive lifestyle changes within families, Healthy Me puts a huge emphasis on having fun! Each session is a perfect mix of theory and practical elements.
All topics are backed up with fun physical activity such as taekwondo
tasters, scootering, boxercise, pilates, supermarket sweep, badminton and many more!

The Corsham School 6th form match report
a broken finger and bruised hand. Man of the match went to Corsham’s Sam Brain who had a flawless game running the midfield and helping his team win the game.

Starting off with a 2-hour journey down to Holyrood, The Corsham School Sixth Form team made a strong team effort to secure a 6-3 win over the home team. The first half was a dominant display by the away side, bringing home 3 goals within the first 20 minutes.
Starting the second half, with a strong team talk from both sides, Corsham continued the goals, scoring another 3 within the half. The home team scored

Corsham were close to scoring again with a long distance header from Charles La Barbera and a miraculous bicycle kick from Joe Holland hitting the Crossbar. Satellite clubs 2017-21 involve the development of new regular opportunities to take part in sport or physical activity outside of school curriculum time. The program will be targeted at young people aged 14-19.
The core audience among this age group being those young people who are inactive or generally less active on a regular basis. Other projects aimed at targeting Sport England priority groups will be prioritised.
