The project will see Room 131A at the A eing daled’ throghot the nine days of the Festival by design agency entagram. The idea of ’dale’  an eperimental amo age painted on to the srfae of ships  was pioneered by British artist Norman Wilkinson, who prepared numerous designs for vessels, including US merchant ships, targeted by enemy U-boats. Drawing on avant-garde artistic movements such as Cubism and ortiism, as well as animal amo age, these bewildering shapes and angles were designed to confuse the enemy as they strggled to mae ot the dale ships against shifting waves and clouds.


BROMPTON DESIGN DISTRICT


Brompton Design District returns for 2018, with the theme of aterial Conseenes’, staged in vaant shops and offi es lose to rompton’s international design brands and iconic institutions. The District will showcase design projects that estion and rethin attitdes to materials and waste, and the shift to a circular economy. Sigmar x Okolo will present Hotel Praha (pictured), an exhibition showcasing original pieces from the emblematic Hotel Praha, in Prague, an architectural symbol of late communism in the Ceh epli whih was sadly demolished in 2014. rompton’s design retailers and gloal rands inlde:  talia, offi , Cassina, artell, eridiani, int, olteni, The Conran Shop, oltrana ra, Sandim, Smallone of Devies, Society Limonata, and Sub-Zero & Wolf. The London Design estival’s ffi ial h, The A, is also located in Brompton Design District.

DECOREX INTERNATIONAL


Decorex is the only show of its kind for the high- end  interior design indstry. t hosts more than 400 exhibitors showcasing the very latest in luxury interiors and design. The four-day event features furniture, interior and lighting designers alongside fabric and textiles companies, from established names to up-and-coming makers. This year, the internationally renowned event will present Blank Canvas as its show theme. Interior design studios add Creative, Stdio Sss, Designed y olfe and Henry Prideaux will design the main entrance installation inspired by the theme.
