The Big PTA Raffle Christmas 2018

L

ast Christmas, the people behind PTA+ magazine teamed up with Charities Trust to launch The Big PTA Raffl e,

in association with StarVale, as a hassle-free way to run a fundraising raffl e. It allows PTAs and Friends Associations to offer their supporters the chance to win some amazing prizes, which last year included an Apple bundle, a West End break, and even a car. Everything is set up for you, so

there’s no need to apply for or buy your own licence (saving a £40 registration fee and a £20 annual fee), and no need to waste valuable time and resources contacting local companies to ask for prizes. The printing and drawing is all taken care of, too, so all you need to do is order and sell your tickets. You may still want to run your own raffl e, but

why not take part in this one too, giving your supporters an even greater chance of winning a prize?

How does it work? Visit www.ptaraffl e.co.uk before 16 November and decide how many tickets you’d like to buy, then simply place your order. A full marketing pack will be provided to help you sell your tickets. Once tickets are sold, you return the stubs and payment (this is required for the purposes of transparency and to avoid fraudulent activity). The closing date for this year’s draw is 14 December. The BIG PTA Raffl e draw will take

place on 4 January. Winners will be contacted, and your PTA will then receive 75% of the amount you raised through ticket sales (25% covers the cost of administration, securing prizes and licensing).

For full terms and conditions visit ptaraffl e.co.uk. Charities Trust holds a large

society lottery licence, which allows it to promote this national raffl e through all school fundraisers. A full 100% of the profi ts (75% of ticket sales) will be distributed between participating PTAs and schools.
