BACKGROUND: Northampton Golf Club was founded in 1893 and for many years it was situated in Kettering Road, Northampton. It originally had nine holes - built in 1895 by the legendary Old Tom Morris. Two more Open Champions designed changes to the layout – Willie Park Jr and James Braid. It moved to its current site in Harlestone in 1990.


COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Today Northampton Golf Club is an 18 hole course, laid out to a design by Donald Steele, and has undergone subtle changes over the years to enhance its stunning estate land setting. It is one of the best regarded facilities in the county and has an impressive clubhouse with a panoramic balcony overlooking an ornamental lake. The club also caters for weddings and special celebrations as well as offering its clubhouse facilities for other business and individual needs. It has more than 1,000 members.
