KEEP STAFF
MOTIVATED A firm that helps company leaders to get more from their life and work has produced key tips to help bosses motivate their employees. Power2Progress Ltd director
Anjana Rajani believes motivated people make a business. She said: “Your employees
are your best business ambassadors and biggest asset. They talk to your clients every day and form your public image. It’s important you learn how to keep your staff feeling upbeat and motivated and performing in their roles to the best of their abilities.” Here are Power2Progress’s
four top ways to motivate employees:
1 Talk to employees openly and honestly Make sure staff are informed about developments within your business, as this will make them feel valued. Talk to them on a personal level and be willing to listen and take on board their feedback.
2 Have a collaborative company culture This will make your business a positive place to be. Your company culture shows people what your business believes in and what it is like as an organisation. Make sure staff know they are a priority by offering them incentives, or being flexible about their working hours.
3 Offer career progression People who want to progress in their careers are the people you want. They will be dedicated, hardworking and energetic and enable organisational growth.
4 Give praise Staff want to know you appreciate what they do. It’s important that everyone feels valued and that they can make a difference to the business.
