DropCapCopy celebrates two years in the business
Radio station’s new logo revealed
It's not just a fresh look, it's also the start of something bigger! As a radio station, the first thing
you see when you want something visual from them is the logo - and Radio Plymouth’s new look delivers. Managing Director Tricia Duff
said: “The rebrand event at the Treasury on 1 June was a fantastic night and gave us the chance to really showcase what we're about, while celebrating something we're proud of.We’re here for Plymouth and we want to do the city proud, providing a service for everyone in it. We couldn't do it without our advertisers or our wonderful listeners.” Radio Plymouth’s new logo is
just the first step in its new branding journey and the station is looking forward to engaging further with its listeners and local businesses.
Newton Abbot-based Chamber member, Graeme Piper, celebrates the second anniversary of his copywriting and content writing business, DropCapCopy, this August. In a period that marks the second of two full-time freelance years since quitting his previous marketing job, the business has thrived beyond expectation. “It’s been a whirlwind two years, but I’m really
proud to have got the response to the business, and the success, that I’ve had, and I couldn’t be happier” explained Graeme. And all the hard work and long hours have
certainly paid off as DropCapCopy enters its third year of trading with a growing client list. Working with a mix of business clients and digital agencies across Devon and beyond, Graeme’s commercial copy includes regular blog posts and content marketing, full website copy and web landing pages, as well as magazine and newspaper editorial pieces. Graeme added: “Making new connections through
the Chamber and various networking events, has been really important to the growth of the business and my client list. As a result, I’m getting new clients who all want great copy to help their businesses, as well as getting more referrals and word of mouth enquiries too. I can’t wait to build on that over the next year or two.” With the two-year anniversary just around the corner, Graeme also decided to make things a bit

more official by registering the DropCapCopy name as a trademark. He said: “I thought it was about time to put an official stamp on my business and get the trademark. That little registered trademark symbol quietly does its job, gives me some brand protection, and shows that I’m serious about my business.”
