GRCA finds a modern new home that is fit for purpose

‘It was quite difficult to find something

suitable, until we visited the

Business Centre’

NEWS FOR & FROM MEMBERS OF DEVON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

GRCA is leaving the Millfields, where it has spent the past 17 years

After 17 years at the Millfields, Geoffrey Rogers Chartered Accounts (GRCA) is moving to new offices at the Business Centre, just off the Cattedown roundabout in Plymouth. Metropolitan House was built in

1901 as the Matron’s House for the Royal Naval Hospital, but since its decommissioning, more and more of the buildings have been converted from offices to residential and it was inevitable that its building would be next. Principal of GRCA Geoffrey

Rogers explains: “It was quite difficult to find something suitable

until we visited the Business Centre, run and owned by Plymouth City Council. Kate Martin, Managed Workspace Manager, and her Deputy Eilis Bond have been very accommodating and pretty much said “yes, no problem“ to every question, so we shall be relocating this month.” GRCA was formed in 2001 and is

one of the few sole trader firms of Chartered Accountants left in Plymouth and being a general practice has resulted in a huge intake of new work, especially in 2017, with a large number of one- man digital businesses setting up in Plymouth. That fits in so well with their move to the Business Centre where they will have easy access and more space to expand, ready- made communications platforms, not to mention the stunning views from the top floor.
