Animal lovers flock to RSPCA’s Pet Fest event
Thousands of people descended on an event in Leicester recently to celebrate everything related to pets. Pet Fest was held at the
RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre, in Scudamore Road, and included a range of activities from dog agility to pet training. Chamber member
Woodside Animal Centre is part of the independent RSPCA branch network. It takes in and cares for stray and unwanted pets, aides the recovery and return of injured wildlife to their natural habitats and rehabilitates and re-homes animal victims of cruelty.

Nottingham-based BSP Consulting for Center Parcs, with previous projects including Treehouses at Sherwood Forest, built in 2010, and the construction of buildings at the newest village, Woburn Forest, such as the Arrivals Lodge, as well as the Cycle Centre, some of the activity facilities, together with buildings for technical services, housekeeping and ground services. Associate and chartered
structural engineer at BSP Consulting Monika Anszperger said: “The Waterside Lodges were an interesting and challenging project, in engineering terms, as they were built on steel platforms that jut out over the lake and have a spectacular aspect. “BSP Consulting is proud to have
played a role in this new style of accommodation for Center Parcs, and to have continued our relationship with Center Parcs which has stretched over eight years – helping the company to provide incredible accommodation and high quality facilities at its sites across the UK.”

operative, which operates its nationwide distribution hub just yards from the centre, was a key partner for the event and helped raise over £400 for the centre, which will be used to buy new dog and rabbit scales. Jane Cooper-Peers,

attended over the two days and they got the chance to find out about owning and taking care of pets, enjoy some fun shows and tuck into some great food.
