The Untold Story of Water By Halsey W. Snow, Ph.D. T
here's something about your water that no one is telling you, and it's very important to your health, and fortunately there is something you can do about it. It has to do with the way
that water is in nature, how it is changed when we take water from nature for our own uses, and the effects that has on our bodies.
here in Maine, although the summer may not be the best time to hexagonal: six-sided. That is because this is the way that water is in nature. Even in the liquid state, the individual water molecules cluster together in groups of 6, so when they freeze, it looks like a of that naturally-occurring 6-sided structure. And it is this structure to water which gives water its amazing properties, like memory, and its ability to hydrate your physical body. This is the most im- portant thing for all of us when it comes to health and well-being – cellular hydration.
Why This is Important to You Every human body is, on average, between 75-95% water.
You are a water being! Some examples of this: 83% of your blood, 90% of your brain, 90% of your nerves, and 99% of the cerebro- This proportion changes over the course of one's lifetime. It is es- timated that newborn babies are about 90% water, whereas many people's bodies, at the time of death, are only 50-70% water. This may be less surprising considering a lifetime of drinking unstruc- tured water.
Every cell of your body needs water to carry out its essential
functions, such as taking in nutrients and expelling toxins. This is what we mean when we speak of hydration. In the body, water is the carrier for nutrients and toxins. And the part of the cell which allows things to come in and go out – the cell membrane or wall – recognizes water by its naturally-occurring structure – that hex-

water - which almost everyone is doing - your body cannot use that water in the unstructured state it is in. What then happens? Your losing energy from drinking unstructured water, when you should be gaining energy from the water you drink. On a cellular level, this makes our process of growth, maintenance, and regeneration

our own uses, we process it in a way and using technology which has the effect of causing the water to lose its naturally-occurring structure. Of course, no one is advocating for less water process- ing, or at least the minimum amount needed to make our drinking Everything from forcing the water to move through straight pipes, metals, chemical additives – virtually every aspect of our modern water-processing technology has the effect of causing water to lose been processed in some form, and by the time you get it, in its plas- tic bottle, it is unstructured. This presents a real dilemma. We all want water which is the best and healthiest for our bodies. But not everyone has the advantage of living close by a natural spring.
How Do You Get Re-Structured Water? This issue with water's structure and its effects on our bodies
has been known for some time, and many ways have been cre- ated to re-structure water. There are whole-house water systems, counter-top appliances, and even a specialized form of household glassware, all of which have been designed to create a re-structur- ing effect on the water you bring to yourself. The point is that this is something which can no longer be taken for granted when it comes to your drinking water and your health.
