CHAMBER INSIDER

Name: Natalie Stonham Job Title: International Trade & Chamber Support Administrator

Tell us about yourself I joined the Chamber in August 2017 as an Administrator with a focus on supporting the International Trade side of the business. This was an area I had not worked before and required my attendance and completion of BCC Training courses in Certification procedures, which were passed, and I am now qualified to process export documentation for the county. I moved to Plymouth from Gloucestershire in

1995, to work alongside my family in the licenced trade. This was a business that I really enjoyed, however I found that it was time to turn my career towards a slightly less hectic working environment (and definitely better working hours.) In 2000 I started to work in administration,

and have over the past 18 years worked within a variety of different industries, from waste management to financial services and have gained many office skills which I have utilised in full since joining the Chamber.

Tell us about your role My role within the Chamber is varied; as well as the provision of admin support for the International Trade Team, I am the administrator for the Chamber and receptionist for all tenants that occupy the Chamber building. I really enjoy the different hats that I have to wear, as it means that one day is always different from the next and I like to be kept busy. I find working at the Chamber gives me the opportunity to work with and meet some really interesting people and I have been really surprised how many different products are exported from Devon.
