CHAMBER NEWS Support the Improving Lives 110 Club

Plymouth’s oldest health and social care charity, Improving Lives Plymouth, established in 1907, is using its 110th anniversary year to launch a new initiative to support the isolated, the vulnerable and those who need that extra bit of support. Local businesses are being invited to become

founder members of the Improving Lives 110 Club. The club will work with this important local charity to support thousands of people each year, who have disabilities and long-term health conditions, and their family carers. Their support can make real difference when it counts, reaching out further to those who need support the most. Members of the 110 club will get:

• Presented with a framed Membership Certificate and a window decal to proudly display

• Promotion on Improving Lives social media as a supporter

• Entry to the listed 110 Club Membership Roll on the website

• Membership of the 110 Club LinkedIn Community

• Invitations to Improving Lives events at least twice a year to hear about what achievements and to meet other members.

Steve Whiteway, Improving Lives Resources

Development Manager, commented: “The club is a unique way to enable businesses to improve the lives of their customers and local community. We believe it will resonate strongly with the Plymouth business community, who have a

passion for Plymouth and its people.” George Plenderleith, Improving Lives

Plymouth CEO, said: “We are very excited by this new project, as it has the potential to help us make a real difference to people’s lives. We are

looking to sign up the 110 founder members by May 2018.”
