WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? Having qualified as a chartered accountant, I went on to gain significant experience working in senior finance roles in several different industries. More recently I owned a children’s day nursery where I saw the benefit of the services in strategic cost and business management that Auditel can bring to any organisation.


WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY DO? Auditel’s consultants work with senior decision-makers in organisations to help them explore their business strategy. Together with Auditel’s bespoke products and services, this allows us to provide new insights and perspectives which results in an increase in efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.


WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR? When my husband and I became owners of a nursery, it was failing. In just over four years we had totally transformed it – drastically improving the financial situation and most importantly ensuring a positive experience for both parents and children. Having turned the nursery around, we were able to sell the successful and flourishing business.


WHAT IS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU’VE EVER TAKEN – AND DID IT WORK OUT? I was a senior manager with fast-growing prospects but I was keen to get a more varied experience and exposure. Determined to enter the world of finance, I secured a training contract as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. This opened so many doors for my future, including my current business.


WHAT EXCITING PROJECTS IS YOUR BUSINESS WORKING ON AT THE MOMENT? We are currently focusing on some key future challenges for SMEs. In the short term these include GDPR and Brexit. Longer term Auditel are starting to explore exciting areas such as robotics and AI.


WHAT MADE YOU JOIN MILTON KEYNES CHAMBER? Joining the Chamber seemed to be the obvious choice to meet local businesses of all sizes. I would recommend membership to any business operating in the local area, not only for the excellent networking events but the additional member benefits.
