Local boy Andrew Stuart needs your help!

I am currently a pupil at Dunblane High School and have been chosen to compete for Great Britain in the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi 2019.

I started golf at the age of 8, I was chosen to compete in the Special Olympics GB Games in Leicester at the age of 9 years old in which I came 4th place for 9 holes.

I was then selected again for the Special Olympics GB in Bath 2013 in which I played 9 holes again and came 1st place in the top division for 9 holes. I was then selected again 2017 to play in Sheffield in which I played 18 holes and came in 2nd place.

Last year I won the Highland Disability Golf Open at Royal Dornoch, also won at the West of Scotland Special Olympic Comp and also won the Fife Disability Open and Bridge of Allan Junior Championship for the 2nd year in a row. I have also won many trophies in other competitions.

Laura, Andrew’s mum says “Andrew is the only athlete chosen from the whole of Forth Valley to compete in 2019. We are very proud of him and it is a great privilege for him to go”.

To get Andrew to Abu Dhabi and to allow him to also compete in the anniversary games in August this year, they will need to raise just over £3000! The family have set up a Go Fund Me page and any donation, no matter what amount, would be gratefully received.

“I would be so grateful if you would help me get to Abu Dhabi and make my dream come true. Many thanks in advance, Andrew”
