Can you get everything for a first-aid kit at your local LloydsPharmacy?


Yes, all of the products you need can be bought separately from your local LloydsPharmacy in different pack sizes.


We can also supply you with ready-made first-aid kits, which are particularly useful when you’re travelling. It’s a good idea to talk to your Pharmacist


about using first-aid products, as they can advise you how to get the best use from them. Also remember to check all products for expiry dates regularly, and follow the advice on the packaging about how the products should be stored.

care tips Whether you’re staying at home this spring or going on a holiday, it’s essential to make sure your skin is safe in the sun. Here at LloydsPharmacy our healthcare teams have lots of advice about looking after your skin as well as the products you’ll need when you’re exposed to sunlight. Here’s what you should do to keep


your skin healthy when the weather turns warmer:


All of the products you need for a first aid kit can be bought separately from your local LloydsPharmacy


1. Stay in the shade whenever possible, especially between 11am and 3pm from March to October, as this is when the sun is strongest.


2. Keep your body covered in the sun if you can. Wear protective loose-fitting clothing, including a sun hat.


3. Use sunscreen and make-up with SPF coverage, at least SPF15 for UVB protection and at least four-star UVA protection.


4. Don’t just use sunscreen on sunny days – you also need it when it’s cloudy.


5. Store your sunscreen in a cool dry place and remember to check expiry dates.


6. Apply sunscreen at least 15 - 20 minutes before you go out into the sun.


7. Treat sunburn with cool water or aloe vera gel. Ask your Pharmacist about using paracetamol or Ibuprofen to help with pain and inflammation.
