Growing Up

we are bombarded by positive ions, which are known to build up in our bodies causing ad- verse temperments. When we go hiking or get into nature we are more relaxed, and when we return to the city, the ions are now more bal- anced, mainly because the woods

are

filled with more

nega-

tive ions than positive ions (something

like that). As far as words go, this is the one the few times that

so many peoples lives for over 20 years and that a generation of young kids have grown up being able to access this pa- per. And, possibly, informa- tion that may inspire them with ideas and thoughts that reflect a positive way of living or thinking. Dale Carni- gie had a fun quote I liked” “By talking to yourself every hour of the day, you can direct your- self to think thoughts of courage

and happiness,

thoughts of power

and

peace. By talk- ing to your- self about the

things you have to be grateful for, you can fill your mind with thoughts that soar and sing.” May this issue find you think-

ing positive thoughts so you too may also soar!

Windsor, CA. ~ For the sec- ond year in a row the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County had a record setting Crab Feed event. The Brooks Road Club gym was packed with a sold out crowd, over 400 people attended the fundraiser. The event featured 48 Silent Auction Items, 12 Live Auction Items, a Sweetheart Raffle, Heads or Tails Raffle, the infamous Jello-Shots, and a no-host bar – the spirit in the gymnasium was warm and unbelievably generous. “We want to thank our dedicat- ed Board of Directors, gener- ous donors, amazing sponsors, volunteers, and staff for mak- ing the event a great success. This is our 9th annual Crab Feed and it always serves as a great reminder that we live in a supportive community that is focused on supporting our kids, especially those who need us most. We are grateful to our amazing community for believing in what we do, and for allowing us the privilege of enabling young people to reach their full potential as produc- tive,
