8 Our Aims

Involving volunteers in the Purbeck area to do small one-off tasks for isolated over 50s and the disabled – giving them independence and ability to remain in their own homes.

Approximately 30 Purbeck Good Neighbour Volunteers attended the 5th celebration at All Stars in Wareham and had a presentation about the work of POPP Wayfi nders. Over the past fi ve years more than 550 tasks have been completed in the Purbecks by our volunteers and over £1,500 has been taken in donations for doing the tasks to cover the volunteers’ expenses. So far our generous volunteers have put forward all this money towards running costs for the project.

To register as a volunteer or if you are over 50 and need a small task doing, call: 01929 424363 or email: purbeckgoodneighbours@yahoo.co.uk

Purbeck Good Neighbours is also working with the Friends of Wareham Hospital. Look out for their petition, which is supporting a new build hub of fully integrated services on the Wareham Middle School site. We need all your signatures to ensure we get this new build hub for ALL Purbeck Residents.

To advertise, please contact 01202 657317 or email karen@broadstonelink.co.uk
