Santa Rosa, CA. ~ The Volun- teer Center of Sonoma County continues to serve as a crucial resource to help support the fi re victims through volunteer matching, operating 2-1-1 and fundraising to buy new laptops for students and teachers. Doz- ens of phone-bank volunteers are focused on matching com- munity needs with volunteers who want to provide their time and donated supplies – over 5,000 volun- teers have already been processed. “The level of support from those near and afar is incredible,” says Cami Kahl, Executive Director of the Vol- unteer Center. “With over 45 years of connecting volunteers within our community, we have the resources in place to lead volunteer
efforts throughout
the county during catastrophic events.”
In collaboration with the
County of Sonoma’s Emergen- cy Offi ce of Communication and 2-1-1 Sonoma, the Volun- teer Center of Sonoma County is coordinating relief efforts to insure a centralized fl ow of in- formation and effi cient support. Call 2-1-1 for non-emer- gency assistance
