Unity of the Triangle Now Forming New Small Groups— Will Host Author David McKay in October

Many of us have family and friends who are spread across the country. This can lead to a longing to belong, a reliance on social media for friendship and conversation, and—in some cases—depression. If you are seeking a meaningful way to connect with others, a small group may be a good

fit for you. At Unity of the Triangle, small

groups form twice each year to discuss a spiritually-based book. Participants—both members and non-members of the church—discuss the selected book and share their insight. Strong friendships are often

formed, and many of the groups continue to meet throughout the year. If a small group appeals to you, email info@unitytriangle.org or call 919-832- 8324. We form new groups through- out the year and will match you with a group in your area. The October small group book

study is One Open Door: Adventures of a Zen Buddhist Monk, by David McKay. The book follows the adven- tures of the author as he seeks to free himself from the sorrow and unhappi- ness we all endure as humans on this earth. You can learn more at www.theoneopendoor.org. David will host two workshops at

Unity of the Triangle. The first, “Your Life is Calling You: The Practice of Compassionate Self-Awareness,” is Saturday, October 14, from 9am-1pm. He will speak during both Sunday, October 15 services and will host the second workshop, “The Joy of Our Own Love,” Sunday at 1:30pm. Visit www.unitytriangle.org/unity-events to register and learn more.

I realized if you can change a classroom, you can change a community, and if you

change enough communities you can change the world.
