Collecting donations online is simple Once you’ve set up your
Campaign page, you’ll get a link you can share with your school community, inviting them to support your appeal by giving or fundraising online. JustGiving will also give you a bit of code enabling you to add a donate button to your website. It accepts all major credit cards, PayPal and can process donations in 12 different currencies.

They simply visit your Campaign page, then click a button that allows them to support you. They then create their own JustGiving fundraising page, exlaining why your Campaign is important to them, and share this with their friends and family.

Increase donations with the automatic Gift Aid reclaim
*A FEE OF FIVE PER CENT IS APPLIED TO THE ONLINE DONATIONS YOU RECEIVE. STANDARD CARD PROCESSING FEES APPLY
HMRC operates the Gift Aid scheme, allowing charities to claim the basic rate tax of 25% on every pound donated. So if someone donates £100 to your school, it means you could get an extra £25 from HMRC. Claiming Gift Aid can add so much more money towards your project at no extra cost to your donors. And when you encourage people to give or fundraise online on JustGiving, it’s all taken care of automatically. If someone is eligible to add Gift Aid to their online donation they simple tick a couple of boxes, JustGiving reclaims the Gift Aid on your behalf and then pays it into your bank account. Simply provide JustGiving with your HMRC number (and charity number if you have one) when you join and they’ll provide you with a ChV1 form to complete, authorising them to become your Gift Aid agent. Put simply, this means they can process Gift Aid on your behalf for any donations made to your charity on JustGiving. Once you’ve completed the form, you simply pop it back to JustGiving and they liaise with HMRC to get everything set up, which usually takes about six to eight weeks, but you can start raising money online on JustGiving from the moment you join.
