In May 2017, Chalfont St Giles Village School in Buckinghamshire (427 pupils) set up a JustGiving Campaign to raise £3,300 to purchase interactive whiteboards and books to support its Power of Reading programme. Each of the classes undertook a sponsored walk on 5 May 2017, setting up separate JustGiving

pages that linked to the Campaign. The foundation stage contributed £800 from the walk, with the other classes each raising between £20 and £365. One individual supporter also raised £1,751 by taking part in a seven- day challenge, asking her children (aged five and four) to come up with a daily challenge

for her to do! These included letting pond snails crawl over her face, eating a flower, wearing boys hair gel, and doing a headstand for two minutes! The JustGiving

Campaign was a resounding successs, raising £5,223 from 262 donors – with an additional £918.25 coming from Gift Aid.
