At Margaret Green Animal Rescue we care for around 1,200 animals a year at our rescue and rehoming centres in Dorset and Devon.


Our pet of the month is Missie, a rescue cat and she’d like to share her story…


“Hello there, my name is Missie and I am 10 years old. I have been at Church Knowle


Rehoming and Visitor Centre for over 125 days and really want to fi nd a home to call my own.


I am a very


independent cat and although I like to be


around humans, I do prefer to be seen but not overly touched. However, I am a lovely girl once I get to know you as long as it is on my terms.


I have had a diffi cult time recently and a little while ago I was very poorly with cat fl u, but I am now back to full strength and I am showing no symptoms. My illness could come back if I get highly stressed, so ideally I am looking for an adult home where I’m the only pet, so I can be the purrfect companion.
